And we are back.. Live on the Tubes.

Yes.. I'm giving this one the So called "Colbert Bump".

A real national treasure?
Last night (October 16) on “The Colbert Report,” the museum’s director, Brent D. Glass agreed on air that Stephen Colbert is indeed a national treasure.

This is from the blog of: The National Museum of American History

OK.. Shew.. Mouthful there; )

Uhm.. Past that I find Hulu to be a good site to watch TV lately. I've managed to pretty much Kick the cable TV habit for the most part. Haven't had cable tv for almost 2 years now. It feels good to unplug like that, but I do get the ire of other folks in the household. Meh, its been good for all of us and has saved us a LOT of money. 4 new shows that I watch now:

Fringe, Sanctuary, My Own Worst Enemy ( Thanks Mizzle!! ) and Season 3 of Heroes. When I take the time to do so I've got Eureka, The Daily Show and the Colbert Report. I've got enough TV to keep me occupied :)

Past that, i'm outta here for now.

Good News / Bad News? Its a bit of both.

So as you all know the American economy is supposidly crashing. While i'm sure that is true, I've been there for years so I don't feel too worried about whats coming next.

So this article gave me some mixed feelings. I'm feeling Angry, Sad and of course Extremely frustrated at what seems to be the undercurrents of everything we had falling away. No doubt its going to be interesting what happens to us all after / when / if this all pans out. No doubt however that a revolution of ideals is coming to time. From my very little skilled platform of economics, isn't this all how the economic market is supposed to work? The biggest and sloppiest of companies gets sloppy and bloated and falls apart. While smarter and sometimes smarter littler companies have the chance to flurish and take up the slack.

I'm not so sure however that this is the end of the world as we know it. If it is, well just my as well get it over with. My opinion is that we are ready for another growth spurt in how we evolve as a nation and as a world.

comments are welcome and so are informed opinions. These are my views on it and I'm not easily swayed by opinion so I'm still not and won't vote McCain. LOL.

that may be another post one of these days.

I'm gonna need some help from a different point of view...

Is CNN Getting Kicked Out of Russia?

By Yasha Levine, eXiled Online. Posted September 12, 2008.

From reading the article I think I see why CNN would have cut Putin's speach out at the end. I think I'm aware that we have the warships off the georgian coast and all. But how does buying gas from Russian Exactly save us money? And I don't for one really.. REally want to go into another war as I hear on some websites indicating that the possible NEW VP wants to go in there and Defend Georgia.

I dunno about anyone else, but. Do we really need another war in the world right now? Really?

I mean.. I've seen the movies.. I know the outcome. I don't like the prospect of going to war again with Russia. We cant even handle the 2 we have going now.

Oh..and the war on education, the war on this the war on that. Have we ever thought enough is enough? Do we really need to haul out the big guns to remind us why we all have to get along?

If you disagree with me Please show me the light :) I hate politics and this is why.

Lasers on... Atom Smashing to begin in a month or so.

Ok all, I know you are all dissapointed that the LHC hasn't ended the world today ( Wednesday 9/10/2008) but if you are really worried there is always that 12/21/2012 event that marks the end of the world.

So I was reading up more on this and MSNBC has been running a good series of aritcles and here is the latest that I was reading on that I think may shed some light on whats going to go on within the worlds newest biggest Microscope.

This is why I want to shoot my TV.

The man the myth the legend. Dan Rather goes off on telling us That journalism, Real journalism stops at the buck being made. I would recommend taking at least 6 min out of your spoonfed "Celebrity Debates" or trailer park teen moms battling ghetto teen moms in jello specials to really step back and think. After watching this I really don't regret having cable TV encourage the ROT that is pushed across the airwaves into my home. After all is said and done, if I'm going to be doing the damage, its going to be me who was the one looking for it ala the internet because I was curious, instead of Faux news or NBC/ABC/CBS or whatever meganational news corp shoving their bloated form of crap down my throat and into my ears.

Mexicans rally nationwide against crime - Americas- msnbc.com: "Wave of protests follow Mexico's crime spike
Activists plan marches in every state, testing Calderon's presidency"

Associated Press

For this I say Good, its about damned time. Stand up for yourselves and say enough is enough! The change for the nation cannot come from the outside, no matter the shucking off of bad to or taking of good from. The change is for you to deal with what you have and make what you have better. From what I know of Mexico which may be very little, it is a proud nation. Drug kingpins and Cartells are not the one I really want to imagine of Mexico nor one of slum run down toxic dump of chemical and human life. I was mentioning to Pablo the other day about an article related to traffic and from there I think I remember him asking or stating rather that we had an awesome form of transportation in the world. I accept the fact that we have a lot of stuff that is better than most of the world, but my comment back as I pointed towards an image on the computer of an intersection of steel, rubber, toxic compounds of Hydrocarbons and petrolium based products and our own carbon based life form thrown into that mix. That as soon as I accept traffic like that to be the norm, than I am no better than that. Still pointing towards the massive amounts of backed up traffic I belive in India or some other Asian metropolis. I am better than that Pablo and I hope that we all realize that we are better than that. That is why I choose to work and live here, because I don't want to accept traffic and living conditions like that.

Ending my little introspective political rant that I really didn't want to get on but did :) Damn you Mexico and your braveness of finally standing up and saying Enough!! I applaud you!! I raise a glas of Negra Modello to you and now try to get my own sheeple to start thinking about enough is enough over in their own Front yards.

Hail Mary! Goin Deep.

Ok all I though it was time to throw a deep on in there. Following an article off of Digg this one talks about the 4th dimension and how to perceive it on a 3 dimensional plane. I couldn't tell you if I have even the slightest idea on if I grasp this one or not, but its kind of fun to try to bend my brain around it.

Thats the article that linked me to the videos. I would recommend taking a look see and take your mind out for a stroll. After all, if you want to go to the confined end of imagination, we are supposed to be a quarantined planet right?

Another Fly by Bloggin.

Heh, I guess I do learn new things everyday. I guess I'm now part of Gen Y ?

Anyway. I think the author here got it right about the current state of fiscal knowledge that we currently have. I personally don't know a whole lot of folks my age that have a very positive balance at the bank and gasp. Mine either.

Why Generation Y is broke
20- and 30-somethings are in a financial mess. Is it because we're dumb, arrogant or simply uneducated? By: Emma Johnson, MSN Money

To be honest my credit is crap and will always be crap. I recognize this however I don't feel its all my fault even though I'm the one paying for it.

I think it would be great if we had some options of getting a fiscal education. Software like Microsoft Money, or even Quicken. I've used both I'm by profession brand loyal. Anybody want to help me develop a service as a plugin or whole other software. Tech support for your banking. Since the bank professionals don't seem to be doing a good enough job.

Sure you are interested in keeping my money for as long as you can to squuuuueze that last bit of Intrabank interest. So while you are doing that, tell me how I can make my money go further. Be a counselor to me and make now, "our" money go further.

Anyway. There is my rant, thank you for reading it and please feel free to comment.

hahah:) and to close the night.. I give you this!!

Common Sense Isn't...

Ok, so I'm gonna dive right into this one cause I am pretty sure you will all want to take a shower after this article.

Court: Wisconsin law bans sex with dead bodies
The ruling comes after 3 men were accused of trying to dig up body for sex

HOLY Shit. Really folks, do we actually have to go as far as a dead person can't give consent? I mean, WOW are you that far gone that you have to stop and think. Gee would "insert dead persons name here" really give me consent to ravage them one last time on this mortal realm?

For Fucks Sake!! YOU Mr. or Mrs. Sicko have lost it and 10 years in prison isn't what you need. You have just won an all paid trip to the Psych Ward for the rest of your natural life because obviously you have just lost all concept of common sense. Now the parents of these individuals should be tossed in the county pen for a month or so just out of principle cause if you failed to see this coming up with your kid, then you have NOT been paying attention and this is the lightest sentence that might beat some of this common sense stuff into you.

Ugh.. just Ugh...

Ok.. now to jump off of that rant, here is something hopefully to take your mind off of things;)

Lets take a step back here folks...

Let me open up tonight's rant with this article.

Viacom vs. YouTube: Beyond Privacy
As Viacom is granted access to YouTube user records, a bigger threat to user-generated sites emerges: The law is increasingly siding with rights owners
by Catherine Holahan

OK.. I'll give you a bit to read this one. Seriously.. Take a look at this article and if you can. Let me know your interpretation of what this person is saying.

..
..
..

Times up. Lets take a look at the first paragraph, last Sentence. So to me this indicates that Viacom may sue end users for "...and sue people who watch copyrighted video clips on the site. "

Wow.. I don't exactly know where the reporter got this information without seeing the actual suit itself. In the article on the 2nd page it talks about setting a precedent courtesy of the EU. It also says that, "I also can say with complete certainty that we will not use any of the data provided to pursue individual end users."

Now I'm not sure that I really wanted to know the fact that Viacom has considered this enough to make a statement against it.

1st. Why the hell is google/youtube keeping my IP Address and my email alias, and why are they keeping them together?

2nd. Why the fuck does Viacom need this information together as it is?

Does anybody know if it is possible to sue both of these corporations at the same time just for general principle? Call me old fashioned, but Get the Fuck out of my life here people! I purposely don't have Comcast cable, I hate to admit it, but I do watch Jon Stewart & Steven Colbert, albeit on another video sharing site.

I don't want to live in a nanny state like Great Britain. If I really wanted the Queen to watch over me and have every move I make recorded I would have moved over there. If its because of what happened 7 years ago, shrug it off and rebuild. While it was an extreme dick move of the Terrorists to do, I think we need to pay some attention to what the fuck is going on in this country. Oh.. and on top of that. How many lawsuits lately does the EU have against US Companies? Wake the hell up folks. This bullshit is getting expensive. I for one can't afford it anymore and I don't want to pay for this type of crap just cause companies or greater think they have to have more money. They are the ones who print this shit up for me!! WTF....

If its about the World Bank trying to bankrupt us. Ok.. You've won. Either give us a hand back up or get the fuck out of the way.

Anyway.. Here is the pre Fireworks extravaganda!! :)

Have a happy and sane one folks!! :) If you blow shit up, make sure it isn't copyrighted and if it is, don't upload it to YouTube for now. If it's all yours, lets see it!!

Science Thoughts for the day.

So trying to keep up with Brother Mattbear, I'll try to post a little bit more frequently and throw out a thought that has gotten me for the day.

Today we start out by Jeff opening up with thoughts about the LHC in Europe and the impending world doom that will accompany it.

Wow, Ok totally off topic. While I was trying to find my article for you all for the LHC, I ran across this at CNN.

Where to store wind-powered energy? Under water!

So this spun me off to thinking. Why don't we do this with the CO2 that we are all so dreadfully worried about? Some scientist say that if you pump CO2 down to the bottom of the ocean, the pressure and low temperature will turn this to a liquid. So, how bout we scrub as much as we can out of the air, from factories, from a collection unit in a vehicle. Have CO2 centers where you pay a carbon tax that has been brought up by politicians where people/companies/governments can recycle their carbon waste. Pump it down into collection chambers in the ocean so we don't crap all over that as well. Well, more than we have already done. North Pacific Gyre anyone?

Anyway. I'll have to find my article about the LHC at a later time cause Blade 3 is calling me to watch... or at least have on in the background.

Music of the night:

Chopin Prelude in D-flat major op.28-15

Or if you need something a bit faster:)

Thank you PABLO!!

Oh.. Here is the fast one;)

A Rant.

Why is it that I feel this way? What makes it that we all are still at war?

I think on this some days. Do we really still all have to be at war? We have had 2 World Wars on this planet and from what I see, I see the very beginnings of WWIII. Fighting over oil, Soon to be food, water. I for one don't want to live this way. I'll admit that the current president in the house has made some damn stupid decisions. Think about this for a moment if you will. Using a corporation of the United States as an example. What company in this whole world would keep on a CEO or President with an effectiveness rating of 31% ?

Man.. That's just fucked up. Let me see if I get this correct. A company or individual or individual(s) have an effective rating of 31% positive. If I tell you that that person has a 76% dissatisfied rating does that make that sound better? If it does, can you refer me to who taught you math? Cause that's 76% of people who have an unfavorable view of that person or group. Whoever does that math I want to be my book keeper than. That and the publicity department that can spin that bullshit and make it sound so good.

Ah..but what the fuck do I know. I obviously don't read trends like this for a living. I'm paid to be a human filter of information. bah.. whatever.

Here.. I leave for this moment with something to take our minds off of politics.

-LP out.

beedee beedee beedee... Hay Buck..

so hello again. I"m glad that you could pull up a log or chair or other implement of sitting. Gather around my campfire and I can try to tell you some stories. Stories of when things made sense and the world seemed like a warm friendly place. One where you could have some privacy. But nowadays not so much it feels.

As long as we all have things hangin out, I'll throw at you a few tidbits of the way I see it. Hang out.. chill out. Shoot the Shit. I'll post some stuff.. since its my blog and I invite Friendly Discourse and "Constructive" Criticism.

So, I'll be back with more stuff.
