Yanno.. I dont know why..

Why do we keep these up. Blogs and such. How many of us actually pour content into them that is so life altering that we need to keep this up? Is it that we have something so deep or profound to say, or is it just that we want to hear our voices going on forever in the electronic frontier that is the intarweb.

How much data do we all compose of when we blog these things or even surf in the annals of Electronic data. I along with a few of my co-horts I know have consumed a VAST quantity of data. Not only read, but to voiciferate ( oh my ) into the nether of wherever our data stream takes us. I'm now immortal in the frontier of the web :P hahaha;D, but what does that do us?

does anybody else ever wonder this? Does anybody really think about how much data we consume? Talkin with my dad tonight was a very interesting example of how much data we not only consume, but that we can retain some of it by osmosis.

Most of all I talked about I learned at Burning Man one dry & cold night, In a planetarium in the middle of the desert.

LOL.. sometimes I have to laugh at the irony of it.....

And we are back.. Live on the Tubes.

Yes.. I'm giving this one the So called "Colbert Bump".

A real national treasure?
Last night (October 16) on “The Colbert Report,” the museum’s director, Brent D. Glass agreed on air that Stephen Colbert is indeed a national treasure.

This is from the blog of: The National Museum of American History

OK.. Shew.. Mouthful there; )

Uhm.. Past that I find Hulu to be a good site to watch TV lately. I've managed to pretty much Kick the cable TV habit for the most part. Haven't had cable tv for almost 2 years now. It feels good to unplug like that, but I do get the ire of other folks in the household. Meh, its been good for all of us and has saved us a LOT of money. 4 new shows that I watch now:

Fringe, Sanctuary, My Own Worst Enemy ( Thanks Mizzle!! ) and Season 3 of Heroes. When I take the time to do so I've got Eureka, The Daily Show and the Colbert Report. I've got enough TV to keep me occupied :)

Past that, i'm outta here for now.

Good News / Bad News? Its a bit of both.

So as you all know the American economy is supposidly crashing. While i'm sure that is true, I've been there for years so I don't feel too worried about whats coming next.

So this article gave me some mixed feelings. I'm feeling Angry, Sad and of course Extremely frustrated at what seems to be the undercurrents of everything we had falling away. No doubt its going to be interesting what happens to us all after / when / if this all pans out. No doubt however that a revolution of ideals is coming to time. From my very little skilled platform of economics, isn't this all how the economic market is supposed to work? The biggest and sloppiest of companies gets sloppy and bloated and falls apart. While smarter and sometimes smarter littler companies have the chance to flurish and take up the slack.

I'm not so sure however that this is the end of the world as we know it. If it is, well just my as well get it over with. My opinion is that we are ready for another growth spurt in how we evolve as a nation and as a world.

comments are welcome and so are informed opinions. These are my views on it and I'm not easily swayed by opinion so I'm still not and won't vote McCain. LOL.

that may be another post one of these days.

I'm gonna need some help from a different point of view...

Is CNN Getting Kicked Out of Russia?

By Yasha Levine, eXiled Online. Posted September 12, 2008.

From reading the article I think I see why CNN would have cut Putin's speach out at the end. I think I'm aware that we have the warships off the georgian coast and all. But how does buying gas from Russian Exactly save us money? And I don't for one really.. REally want to go into another war as I hear on some websites indicating that the possible NEW VP wants to go in there and Defend Georgia.

I dunno about anyone else, but. Do we really need another war in the world right now? Really?

I mean.. I've seen the movies.. I know the outcome. I don't like the prospect of going to war again with Russia. We cant even handle the 2 we have going now.

Oh..and the war on education, the war on this the war on that. Have we ever thought enough is enough? Do we really need to haul out the big guns to remind us why we all have to get along?

If you disagree with me Please show me the light :) I hate politics and this is why.

Lasers on... Atom Smashing to begin in a month or so.

Ok all, I know you are all dissapointed that the LHC hasn't ended the world today ( Wednesday 9/10/2008) but if you are really worried there is always that 12/21/2012 event that marks the end of the world.

So I was reading up more on this and MSNBC has been running a good series of aritcles and here is the latest that I was reading on that I think may shed some light on whats going to go on within the worlds newest biggest Microscope.
